Broad Spectrum Biological Nematicide

XILO-NEMAX® is an innovative biological nematicide based on secondary metabolites derived from the fermentation of Streptomyces spp. BB016, designed for the control of plant-parasitic nematodes. It acts primarily through direct contact and ingestion, targeting nematodes present in the soil.

Once inside the plant tissue, the metabolites produced by BB016 are mobilized translaminarly, rapidly paralyzing nematodes by inhibiting the transmission of nerve signals at their neural connections. The components of XILO-NEMAX® alter the membrane permeability of nematodes, disrupting their internal metabolism. Observable activities such as feeding and egg-laying cease shortly after exposure.

XILO-NEMAX® can be integrated into pest management programs.

Mode of action

Preparation

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE): cotton coveralls, respirator, face shield, neoprene gloves, and boots.
Work on stable surfaces to prevent the container from tipping.
Use only appropriate tools to open containers and measure the product.
Shake thoroughly, mix well, and then pour.
Carry out the preparation in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid splashing during product handling.

Application

Always wear PPE during the handling, preparation, and application of XILO-NEMAX®.
Dilute in sufficient water to ensure optimal coverage of the plants.
Apply by spraying using any ground equipment that ensures good foliage coverage in the infected areas.

Dosage and Mixing

Fill the spray tank halfway, add the product, and then complete with the required amount of water.
Keep the mixture constantly agitated to ensure uniformity.
