Gray mold

Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) is a phytopathogenic fungus that causes severe damage to over 200 plant species, including crops like grape, tomato, strawberry, and various ornamentals.

It infects leaves, stems, flowers, and fruits, producing necrotic spots covered with its characteristic gray mycelium.In severe cases, it causes fruit rot and can lead to total crop loss.

This fungus develops primarily in humid and temperate environments, making it especially problematic in greenhouses and during periods of high humidity.
